Bargello Placemat: This Bargello placemat is a breeze to make using a serger or sewing machine. The intricate looking piecing works up really quick and is very forgiving with no seams to match. The borders are sewn using the reversible quilting methods so that no additional quilting is needed to keep the layers together. The binding is double fold with mock-mitered corners and a beautiful angled join.

"Going In Circles" Art Quilt: I was inspired by Carol Taylor's table runner on the cover of "Skinny Quilts and Table Runners". We'll construct an artsy piece using her method of putting together all sorts of interesting, some fancy some not, fabrics, couched seams and circular quilting with yarns and cords. Fun and actually quite easy - the hardest part is picking your fabrics.
Scallop Edge Appliqué Table Topper: In Session I, this charming table topper will take us through several appliqué techniques: Satin stitch, blanket stitch and blind or heirloom appliqué methods. In Session II, we'll do some machine quilting: with both the walking and free motion foot. Then we'll finish with a very pretty scalloped edge and binding.

Pineapple Quilt [The Piece of Cake way] : This stunning quilt is made with just three fabrics. [Experienced quilters might try more] This is a different method which makes this traditional block so much easier. The center is a four patch which allows one to adjust/correct pieces as we build our square to the perfect size every time! You may do a four block sampler in a session or work on a larger quilt through the fall.
