BASICS OF MACHINE QUILTING - Dec 05, 2019 09:30 am
This class will cover the basics of machine quilting, such fabric piecing, sandwiching the quilt, machine quilting techniques, and sewing on binding. This class is open to those who are interested in refreshing their skills, or to begin building their machine quilting skills.
This class is also open to those who would like to practice or learn the basics of ruler work, using the Sew Steady template Sampler Set Ruler work
Quilt projects can and should be worked on at home, since projects will not be completed in one class.
A project may be suggested by a student to work on, and approved by the instructor or recommended by the instructor.
Instructors quilting project suggestions are in the store, such as the Sew Steady Westalee Ruler quilting class projects will use the Template Sampler Start Kit and Janet's Ruler Quilt Design Book (available at Murrays).
For a machine quilting projects a decorative mat is recommended. Machine quilting and beginner quilting books are available in the store. Contact the instructor for approval of a machine quilting project.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION: The class may not be held if enrollment is not made 3 days before the class. The student should cancel enrollment 7 days before the class to receive a refund or store credit. See store policy for refunds. If the class has a small enrollment (1 or 2 students), the following applies: for one student enrolled, the student will receive 1 hour of time with the instructor for the three hour sewing block of time, the rest of the time will be independent time for working on the project. For two students enrolled, the students will receive 2 hours of time with the instructor for the three hour sewing block of time, the rest of the time will be independent time for working on the project. The class will run the duration of time scheduled. See store policy for cancellations and refunds.
