This is a brand new, replica standard straight-stitch 1/4" presser foot, just like the ones included with most vintage Singer Sewing Machines. If you have a Singer Featherweight, then this is just like the style of foot that would have been original to your machine. This is a low shank foot. This presser foot is for straight-stitch only. Do not try to zigzag stitch (if using on a zigzag machine) using this presser foot.

LOW SHANK:  fits the Singer Featherweight 221, 222K and all low, vertical shank Sewing Machines (i.e. 15, 27, 28, 66, 99, 185, 127, 128, 192, 201, 206, 237, 306, 319, 320, 328, as well as many other brands besides Singer)

The correct term for the attachment foot is "presser foot," but occasionally, we have heard the misnomer "pressured foot," probably because of the downward pressure applied from the internal presser bar spring.
