This Check Spring Thread Sensor is installed a couple of inches below the tension unit behind the thread take-up lever cover. The check spring can break or become worn; you need to replace the entire unit, as individual parts of the thread sensor aren't available. There are a couple of these parts that are almost identical, however this part is the one with the hooked copper ground. 



This unit only fits the Husqvarna Viking Original Designer Epic (Blue and White Machine), Designer Epic 980Q, Designer Epic Quilt 97, and some Pfaff models listed below.
Note: This unit # 68008650 will not work with the Designer Epic 2 or Designer Epic 3, or the Designer Epic 95Q.
