Always test a pencil on the fabric swatch you will be using to ensure marks can be removed satisfactorily. Mark lightly on the wrong side of the fabric. Do not make dark, heavy marks. Remove all marks with a brush on the opposite side of the pencil or a damp cloth. Avoid pressing over marks before they are removed.
- Use a dressmaker's marking pencil to transfer pattern markings directly onto fabric.
